WARNING: The size of this skateboard deck is not your average sized deck. The “Gold Machete” was a collaboration between Alex Nunez, the Gold Machete founder, and myself. I approached Alex with this idea, and we both agreed to run with it!
I was introduced to skateboarding in 1966, by an older cousin, it wasn’t until Jr. High that was fully immersed into skateboarding. I have the good fortune of having skated every type of skateboard from a steel wheel relic, boards with clay wheels, with loose ball bearings, to plastic boards, fiberglass, wood/fiberglass, aluminum, etc…up to the current, modern decks.
There are lots of different shapes, and sizes available at most skate shops, but finding the exact size isn’t as easy as walking into a shop and finding that perfect deck! After 50+years of skateboarding, I have found the size that works perfectly in all skate sessions. The dimensions are: 34”L, 8.4”W, 16"WB,7"N, and 6.75"T
